About Marrakesh

Marrakesh has a truly magical energy and has quickly become one of the most special places in the world for us. Beyond the wedding celebrations, we highly recommend extending your stay for a few extra days to explore the city, the desert, its unique craftsmanship, hidden riads, stunning landscapes, and the destination's one-of-a-kind atmosphere. It is a place to be experienced at a relaxed pace.

We recommend ensuring that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Brazilian passport holders generally do not require a visa for short stays in Morocco.

Late November in Marrakesh typically offers sunny, pleasant days with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 25°C (72°F to 77°F). After sunset, temperatures can drop quickly, averaging 10°C to 14°C (50°F to 57°F) during the evening. For outdoor events, we recommend bringing a shawl, wrap, or an

elegant outer layer to stay comfortable

throughout the night.

CURIOSITIES

& CULTURE

Marrakesh is a city of fascinating contrasts, both vibrant and serene, dynamic yet deeply rooted in Moroccan traditions. Known as the "Red City," it earned this name from the warm terracotta hues of its architecture, which become even more captivating under the golden light of sunset. From lush gardens and historic palaces to traditional souks, hidden riads, and ornate lanterns, Marrakesh offers a truly unique atmosphere, nestled between the desert and the majestic Atlas Mountains.

THE ART OF HOSPITALITY

Moroccan hospitality is one of the most remarkable aspects of the local culture. Long lunches, mint tea, music, conversation, and shared meals are all part of the Marrakesh experience. Life moves at a slower, more relaxed pace, and much of the city's charm lies in slowing down and embracing its unique atmosphere.

THE SOUKS

& THE MEDINA

The Medina of Marrakesh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the city's most enchanting places. Its winding alleyways are filled with spices, perfumes, lanterns, handwoven rugs, and local handicrafts, offering an authentic glimpse into Morocco's rich cultural and artistic heritage. Good to know: Bargaining is an essential part of the local tradition and shopping experience, so don't hesitate to negotiate prices.

MARRAKESH AT SUNSET

There is something truly magical about the light in Marrakesh. As the day draws to a close, the city is bathed in beautiful golden and rosy hues, while temperatures begin to drop quickly after sunset due to the desert's dry climate. By night, Marrakesh transforms into a cinematic setting, with illuminated gardens, live music, elegant rooftops, and the warm glow of golden lanterns creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

FASHION, INSPIRATION & CRAFTSMANSHIP

For decades, Marrakesh has inspired artists, designers, and creatives from around the world. Yves Saint Laurent found endless inspiration here, drawn to the city's vibrant colors, rich textures, and elegant silhouettes. Today, Marrakesh remains a remarkable blend of sophistication, craftsmanship, fashion, architecture, and natural beauty. _ CRAFTSMANSHIP • Handcrafted Moroccan slippers (babouches) and leather goods made in the Medina. • Traditional Moroccan rugs and vintage textiles. • Hand-painted ceramics and artisanal tableware. • Handwoven baskets and decorative pieces crafted by local artisans. • Kaftans and beautifully embroidered garments created in local ateliers.

VINTAGE & HOME DECOR

• Souk Semmarine: Traditional Moroccan rugs, lanterns, antiques, and handcrafted treasures. • 33 Rue Majorelle : A curated selection of beautiful home décor and unique design pieces. • Mustapha Blaoui: A true paradise for lovers of interior design and Moroccan craftsmanship. • Chabi Chic: Contemporary Moroccan ceramics and elegant tableware. • Lrnce: A favorite among art, fashion, and design enthusiasts, known for its distinctive handcrafted collections.

Tips

HOW TO GET THERE

From Brazil, we recommend flying into Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK). There are typically no direct flights, so connections are usually made through cities such as Paris, Lisbon, or Madrid. From the Airport to the Hotel: The hotel is located approximately 5 km (3 miles) from the airport, with a travel time of about 7 to 15 minutes by car. Transportation options include: Taxi: Approximately 7 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the airport. Private Transfer / Hotel Transfer: The hotel can arrange transportation upon request.
